Painting Part 2

Impromptu site visit with Andrew today. Got to see inside, which was nice!

The ceiling has been painted throughout and looks great :)  A couple of the rooms have also been undercoated. So far I am liking it all - although obviously will get a better sense when the timberwork is done and the first actual coat of colour is on.

Apparently the tiler will be starting on Wednesday, too. So it's all systems go!

  1. How do they go with your floors already in and painting? Are they spraying or rolling? Just curious as to how they do it, as all the builds I have been in the place has been painted before floors were in.

Looks great though, what colours have you gone for the walls?

  2. The ceiling was sprayed. Not sure about the undercoat.

Because the floors are yet to be sanded and polished, they do the painting first. I understand that's pretty typical with real wood floors in new builds?

  3. It's really all starting to come together now, shots of your kitchen look amazing.

Still totally envious of your floors. Hubby half agreed to timber the other night but I suspect it might be otherwise when he hears some figures...

  4. Ah ok, I had it in my head that the floors had been sanded and were just waiting for stain. My silly. It possibly is fairly common, all the new builds I have been through and know of have been tiles/floating floors done after handover.
