Mirrors and shower screens

Last Wednesday I was delighted to notice that the ensuite shower screen was in. Presumably the one in the main bathroom is, too - but there's no obliging window to peer through to confirm this!

And then Friday the ensuite mirror was installed.

Being stuck at home with a baby (but no carseat) I was unable to go visit the site and see what else has been happening. And, of course, by the time I had some company to look after Adelaide so I could visit the site the tradies were long gone :(

Still - I am optimistic that maybe tomorrow there will be some action. A visit yesterday confirmed both my kitchen and laundry splashbacks are yet to go in - and the robes need to be fixed up too (all the same company).

Also started to get quotes on fencing - so will be doing that tomorrow, too.

No photos, I'm sorry - did try to take some pics of the ensuite mirror but it didn't work. Hopefully I'll have something to show you all tomorrow!

Progress?

So another week with not much happening. I did get an aerial installed on Friday, which was a plus! And I also heard from the splashback painter confirming the colour of the laundry and kitchen splashbacks. Apparently they could find no reference to the name - but a quick trip to Bunnings sorted them out with the correct colour details.

I was told mid-week for the mirrors/splashbacks, but as they're not yet in I will stalk the house early next week. Really need to get inside to try some fabric swatches up against the walls and architraves.

As I was edging my way around the house yesterday I was able to confirm the ensuite toilet is in! So presumably so is the kids' toilet. Itching to get inside and see all the latest bits and pieces :)

So why are we waiting???

I know it's been weeks since I've updated - but really there's not been a lot to update!

Basically much is at a standstill until the weather becomes clear.

They need to bring bobcats down the side of the house to clear excess soil at the rear. And while it's wet, the ground is too boggy so this can't happen. And until the soil is removed, they can't do the concreting. And until the concreting is done, they can't fit the outdoor appliances and water tank as these are to sit on the concrete pad. And until the outdoor appliances are in, they can't finish the plumbing fit off. So basically we're waiting on fine weather!

I have been chatting with a couple of landscapers, though - getting ideas for the garden. Hope to have some ideas to show from them soon. Also still pondering curtains.

It seems we are so close, yet still so so far away!
